Dott.Ing. Angelo Aprile is currently IPR Manager within Leonardo’s Labs and Leonardo’s Space Division.
Previously (from 2018 to December 2023), He was IPR Manager of Leonardo’s Electronics Division (LED).
Prior to experience in Intellectual Property Rights Management, He spent approximately 14 years as CTO manager in the field of Airborne Radar and Advanced Targeting Systems leading strategy definition and new product developments, reporting to managing directors and supporting to Sales department for promoting company’s products to many customers worldwide.
Following many years of management of research contracts, PhDs, seminars, conferences with the main Italian universities, since 2014 He has also started lectures activity as a professor at University of Pavia (up to 2018) and at University of Trento (from 2015 to 2019) teaching about “Airborne Radar techniques and technology evolution”.
Up to Dec.2023 he has been teacher for Basic and Advanced courses within the “Radar and Sensors Academy” of Leonardo’s Electronics Division.
While at Leonardo, He has been the winner of the Leonardo’s Innovation Award 7 times.
He is also author of numerous articles (more than 20) and of 10 patents related to advanced airborne radar application and specifically, to High Resolution Radar Imaging and Non-Cooperative Target recognition.
