Federica Baldan is a legal and policy officer in the Unit for ‘Valorisation policies and technology infrastructures’ of the Directorate General for Research and Innovation at the European Commission.
Before joining the European Commission in 2021, Federica worked as a researcher in IP law and governance at the University of Antwerp and as an IP lawyer in a law firm based in Bologna, Italy.
Federica holds a PhD in Law from the University of Antwerp, an LL.M. in International and European Law from the Institute of European Studies of Brussels and a bachelor’s and a master’s degree from the University of Bologna.
