Brigitte Carion-Taravella is a European and French Patent Attorney with an engineering diploma in Bio-industry, a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from UTC Compiègne in France, and a Master’s in IP Law from Strasbourg. With 25 years in patent prosecution and 9 years in R&D, she currently leads Sanofi’s French and Belgian patent team for Biologics and manages European Patent Policy. She represents Sanofi at EFPIA and INTERPAT. Previously, she managed patent activities at Chanel (2005-2010) and began her career at Besins Healthcare. Brigitte is active in professional organizations, serving on the epi council representing the French industry, as an officer of AIPPI’s French board, and as a member of EPO’s SACEPO committee on Quality and on Guidelines.
