Maxime Guy

Contracts Officer

Maxime joined ESA in 2021 as a Contracts Officer, overseeing procurement for R&D initiatives and ensuring strong management of intellectual property, technology transfers, and software licensing to protect innovation within ESA programmes.

Previously, he was responsible for procurement at the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons in The Hague, leading acquisition efforts for the design and construction of the Centre for Chemistry and Technology. From 2015 to 2019, Maxime was a Procurement Officer at the United Nations in New York, where he managed aviation contracts supporting peacekeeping operations globally.

Earlier in his career, Maxime contributed to Airbus’s A320NEO programme as a Project Management Officer via Planitec/SETEC, supporting flight testing and managing procurement of specialized equipment. Prior to that, his experience spans industrial and infrastructure projects with Volvo Group and Cegelec/Vinci across Europe and the Middle East.

Maxime holds a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the National Polytechnic Institute of Toulouse and completed postgraduate studies in Project Management at the University of Hong Kong. He was born in Pau, in the southwest of France.
