Petra worked for almost 18 years for Studio 100 as Head of IP & Royalty. Over the years she has built a broad range of practical experience in managing intellectual property rights.
The job consists of two main areas. On the one hand, ensuring (together with the entire company) that Studio 100 obtains all (intellectual) rights it needs to operate and keeping track of the “whereabouts” the contents it produces: who has which rights, for how long, for which territory. On the other hand Petra and her team handle all variable remunerations towards authors, performing artists, broadcasters and other rightsholders.
With regard to the protection of Studio 100’s intellectual property rights, Petra provides both internal and external advice on the do’s and don’ts when using music, images and photographs.
