Dane Tacchini is a legal advisor and Head of Intellectual Property at the CERN Knowledge Transfer Group.

CERN (the European Organization for Nuclear Research) is home to the world’s largest particle physics laboratory that is best known for its groundbreaking discoveries in fundamental physics — including the Higgs boson — as well as for pioneering technologies such as the World Wide Web and advances in medical imaging, data science, and superconductivity. CERN’s Knowledge Transfer Group ensures that innovations developed for high-energy physics are applied for the benefit of industry and society at large.

Dane is a French qualified lawyer, and prior to joining CERN in 2023, Dane spent a decade in leading international law firms where she advised clients on intellectual property law matters, space law, electronic communications, IT projects, data protection, media law, and new technologies.

Dane is a member of LES Switzerland.
